Life NOW Global Mission is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use to browse.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities.

What we have done

• Text and background colours across the site meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratios.
• Every page can be operated using a keyboard alone, and the element you are focused on is always visibly outlined.
• Menus, dialogs and other controls announce their state to screen readers, and a “Skip to content” link lets you jump past the navigation.
• Headings follow a logical order so that screen reader users can navigate by structure.
• Images carry descriptive alternative text, and form fields have labels correctly associated with them.
• Animation is disabled automatically if your device is set to reduce motion.
• Text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content or function, and the layout reflows down to 320 pixels.
• The site works with JavaScript turned off.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following and are working to address them:

• Video captions. The event videos do not yet have captions or transcripts, so that content is not accessible to people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Please contact us and we will provide a summary of any video.
• Embedded maps. The maps are provided by a third party and we do not control their accessibility. All location information is also given in text, so nothing is available only through a map.
• Donation processing. Donations complete on third-party services whose accessibility we do not control. If you have difficulty giving online, call us and we will help you directly.
